Learn how to create a puppet using simple materials, how to operate it and perform it!
Suitable for teachers of all levels. Taught by internationally trained puppeteer and registered teacher, Marianne Mettes.
You will learn:
How to create a puppet from scratch
Learn professional puppetry techniques
How to design a short performance
Learn how to embed puppetry and literacy within your curriculum
Learn how to include puppetry into your lesson plans and sequences
Gain valuable feedback on your lesson ideas and puppetry techniques

What: Puppet making and performance (full day)
Where: Gungahlin Community Centre, 47 Ernest Cavanagh St, Gungahlin ACT 2912
When: Sunday, 18 May 9am-3pm
Experience/prerequisites: No experience required. This course is suitable for adult learners only (ages 16+)
Cost: $340 for a 5 hour session (includes breaks, BYO lunch)
Materials: All materials provided, but encouraged to bring your own notebook, pencils/pens.
